The students are many times overburdened or bored with their routine studies. They are unable to see "fun & wonder" element of science & other domains of their studies. The problem compounds at the level of career selection. The reasons are manifold. First of all they are not aware of various career opportunities available for them. Secondly, they are many times themselves not very clear about their career interests and strengths & weaknesses in terms of various academic/non-academic attributes. Then comes choosing the right career option in view of their career interests and strengths & weaknesses. Conflicting approaches of students, schools and parents many times further compound this problem.
It is in this background that CAD has designed the scheme of orientation-cum- motivation-cum- career guidance named CGAC (Career Guidance & Assessment by CAD).
CGAC (Career Guidance & Assessment by CAD) is orientation-cum- motivation-cum- career guidance programme of CAD. Apart from orienting and motivating students towards various career options, CAD gives personalized guidance to students on the basis of assessment of their career interests and various academic/non-academic attributes. Also as part of CGAC, CAD gives a comprehensive report to the school management in the nature of inputs to the school management, teachers and parents on the basis of our comprehensive assessment of students. CGAC is meant for students of class VIII-XII of any school.
CGAC consists of a package of 5 stages of engagements with the schools. The engagements consist of presentations, quiz, question & answer session, tests of students etc. Apart from seminars, part of interaction with the school happens through this portal of CAD. Certain reports like the one containing comprehensive assessment of students is made available to the school through this portal of CAD. CGAC for a particular set of students is completed over a period of one year. The dates of engagements are decided in consultation with the school.
The details of 5 stages of CGAC are as under:
